Hi Debbie~I thought it might be time to send you another picture of 2 of Buster. He's doing great. Last month, he made his first trip to Lake Tahoe, (my in laws rented a cabin for their 50th wedding anniversary--16 adults & 4 dogs were there). The cabin was 2 blocks away from the Lake & 1 of the only two dog beaches that are there, & lucky for us it was the one that allows dogs to be off the leash. I didn't get any great pictures it was hard but I will send you a couple. He is almost 9 months old & about 110 pounds now maybe a little over? He was cautious about the water at first, but then really took to it. The water at the dog beach is shallow quite a ways out, so Chris walked out with him & he eventually became buoyant & started swimming. The other dogs at the cabin were older & sometimes cranky & not sure of Buster's size, so they would growl at him once in a while & when that happened, Buster would run to Chris & sit beside him & stare at the other dogs as if to think "why don't these dogs like me" He was the toast of the beach though everyone wanted to pet him & talk to him, ask questions about him etc. The other dogs at the cabin would get in & eat Buster's food, & rather than try to fight over it, Buster resorted to begging from the table. I will also send along a pic or 2 of Buster & his little (big) brother. Thanks so much again for a great dog, he is really a part of the family. Love from the Fannins, Chris, Kelli, & Austin & of course Buster.

Hi Debbie, I don't like to be a nuisance, but here are more pictures of Crush.  He and I finished the beginning puppy obedience class.  He was the star student as long as there weren't too many distractions!  He's just a baby.  He can sit, down, stay, wait at the door, watch  (make eye contact).  I am going to take him to the intermediate class too.  He needs some work on not pulling while walking on the lead.

These pictures show more of his love of the water, and his summer haircut.  I told the groomer I wanted the least amount of water and dirt dragged into the house as possible--he looks good with the short hair.  To dry off, instead of rolling in the grass, he likes to find dry dirt in the planters and roll in that! Crush has dredged up from his genetic code the need to keep people safe in the water--well, not so much safe in the water as the need to drag them out of the water, which he did to my granddaughter each time she got into the pool.  If someone does not want to be rescued, Crush has to be put on a lead and purposely kept out of the pool, otherwise, he clamps on a hand with his new adult teeth and swims/drags them to the steps of the pool. The last trip to the vet for shots he weighed 66 pounds.     Peace,     Diana Quirk

Hi Debbie and Tom, It has been such a long time since I had the chance to update you on how Fisher is doing because he is keeping me so busy!  He is an amazing dog and has been a true blessing.  Fisher is just shy of 7 months and has completed both is Puppy kindergarten and Puppy high school classes...such a smart boy!  He graduated with honors  although we still have a lot of practicing to do before Puppy college starts next month.  Healing without a leash is hard work for a baby.  His Puppy college is set up to prepare him for his AKC companion animal test which he will take in September.  Fisher melts the heart of anyone he comes in contact with and the manager at Pets mart said that Fisher should be their official store mascot.  We have also started Water dog training with him.  We will go to classes every Tuesday night to practice swimming!  I am hoping to be able to pass the water test in September so he can get his first title but only time will tell on how he picks up this training.  He will have to tow a boat back to shore...Oh, the pressure!  He loves the water now and we are having trouble keeping him out!  Overall he is perfect and very happy.  He loves to work but needs to take breaks often to cuddle....he is such a Mama's boy!  Thanks again for our precious angel.    Jen and Ross Allen

Hi Debbie,  Sorry that it has been so long since we have last written to you. Life is very busy with a crazy Newf puppy. We attached pictures of Niya (Bertha and Delmar's female). She has grown into quite the dog. At around six and a half months she is just shy of 100 lbs. We spent the first three months carrying her up and down the stairs and we are so glad that it is over! She is so smart and such a quick learner; she was fully potty trained at 4 1/2 months old, walks like a champion every day without pulling us down the road, knows how to sit, stay, and come. She is absolutely great. She loves the water and has her own little pool, Whenever we take her out for walks in the country she heads straight for the water. In a few months she'll hit the lake and the big pool for swimming lessons. We have a 2 year old nephew and she is great with him-always gentle. She gets a long with dogs that are smaller than her, but has been a little timid around other giant Newfs. We have been watching the website and it was great to see other pictures of puppies from the same litter.    Leland and Dara Feleciano

Hi Debbie & Tom,  I heard your phone message  & I thought after Crush's well-puppy & visit to the Vet I would fill  you in more closely:  He weighs 36 pounds. He is smarter than we are, apparently. I bought a baby gate to keep him out of the living room instead of building a barricade out of the ottoman, my husbands wheelchair, & a storage box every night. When he first came home he decided he would use just one place for his potty & that was the carpet in front of the fireplace== he still thinks if he can get to it, that's where he should go. Of course, if he is escorted, he will go potty in the section of the yard we chose for him. He will get there.    However, he immediately figured out how to get over the 36-in tall baby gate to access the living room, family room, wherever he wants to be that we don't happen to want him for the moment.      He learned immediately how to open the closed screen door, as the screen guard fits his little paws perfectly. All he does is stand on his hind legs, front paws against the guard then slide sideways back to all fours & the door comes right open.    He also now knows how to open the door to the laundry room which will also let him into the garage. The laundry room has one of the lever-type handles on it instead of a round door knob. Crush just jumps up & puts a paw on it & opens it on the way back down. He doesn't like to be left behind! I think he would have loved a crate (as long as the door was never closed), because he wants to nap in dark enclosed spaces. His favorite place was under the couch. We raised the couch about 6 inches to make it easier for my husband to stand up from, so it was high enough for Crush to get under for about a week. He's too big to get all the way under now but he still tries & has to be content with just his head underneath. He loves everyone & loves to run around the yard chasing or being chased. He follows without a leash, & so far will not wander out of sight. As you know he's a Great Puppy. I am going to enroll him in obedience class soon. He doesn't like to have his picture taken as soon as a camera or a phone is pointed at him he looks at the ground         I'll keep in touch.       Diana Quirk

Hi Debbie!     I thought I would send you a couple of pics of Buster. He is really a GREAT DOG, with lots of personality. I can't believe he's 5 months old already.  He loves our 3 yr old son, & Austin Loves him! I have enjoyed looking at all of the updated photos, especially the ones of Buster's siblings. I really appreciate when you list the parents of the dogs in the pics because that way I can tell if they are from Buster's Litter. We can't thank you enough! He took his first trip to a lake about 3 weeks ago, & loved the water. He wasn't so sure about the swimming. He swam out a little ways & then came back & only wanted to go as far as he could walk after that. He loved walking out into the water to fetch sticks. He loves the sprinklers, & even stuck his head into our neighbor's sudsy car washing bucket of water to steal her sponge!  He loves to greet all of the neighbors & anyone else who happens to be walking by when he's in the front yard. Thanks again for a Great Dog! The Fannins Chris, Kelli & Austin & Buster

Hi Debbie- Sorry I missed your call last night. After we came from the airport & let everyone settle in a bit, unfortunately I had to go back to work!! We are swamped & I think they want us to work around the clock!! She is absolutely beautiful & settling in very nicely. Bumper naturally took to her right away & Rogan did to, he was just a little bit overbearing. This morning everyone is much more calm & I anticipate by day's end everyone will have smelled each other enough that we will start being a family!! I washed up her blankets & put them into my big crate by my bed & she went to bed around 10:00 with Casey & slept through the night until about 5:30 this morning. She went outside, played for a while, had a bite to eat & is now sleeping under my desk. I'm sure she won't fit there very much longer!! She's definitely a feisty little one, very curious, but listens very well.

We couldn't be more happy with her. She is absolutely beautiful. I'll try to give you a call a little later this evening. I have a phone conference with my work & then another busy day of typing. Casey is bringing all the girls off the bus to see her, my dad is coming this morning to see her & so are some of my girlfriends. She will be meeting lots of new people & being a little star today.   Thank you so very much for letting her come,   NANCY

Hi Debbie & Tom,  Just wanted to let you know that Ella (puppy #8) went to the vet today & was, of course, found to be in good health.  She's doing just great at home! She's been enjoying our rainy weather & chasing the cats around the house.  Thanks again for everything!  We couldn't be happier!

Debbie, Hey there, just wanted to let you know how Abraham did on his 24hrs with his new family.  He did amazing... He is already a part of our family. You must have been working with him on potty training because he only had one little accident since we've had him. Also he just loves the twins & keeps trying to round them up onto the area rug. He isn't eating as well as I'd like so we'll try the chicken & yogurt today & see how it goes. He is a wonderful puppy & we are lucky to have him.               Thanks so much!     Felicia Smith

Well a good morning to you too! Debbie I hope you continue to write to me whenever you chose. I love hearing from you and usually there is a story in there or a lesson for me to learn from.  I looked forward to meeting you so much & had such a great time visiting with you also. You have made this even more fun than I would have thought it could be. If we lived closer we would for sure have “ladies day out” together.  What you cannot say enough of on your web site is what remarkable people you are, how much you do care about your puppies, what great lengths you have gone to in choosing lines  that are truly amazing that the ordinary person would never be able to have if not for you.  I appreciate the obvious love and attention that Izzy received from you because she came to me so happy, healthy & well socialized. She is a perfect example of her breed which is not typical of what you would ordinarily find out there and believe me I know because I spent months researching.  Isabella is doing just great (we think she does like her newest bed), I have never seen a puppy with such HUGH paws!  Fred & I are fascinated with her eyes we think they are very exotic!  She is receiving tons of love & caught on to “leave it” immediately.  Of course she does all the puppy stuff but that is part of the joy in having a puppy.  It will be a lot of fun to watch your next two litters, no doubt a ton of work for you.  Izzy is keeping me hopping so it’s hard for me to imagine how you do it!  Have a wonderful day,   Donna

Hi Debbie, I wanted to drop you a quick line and let you know that Fisher is adjusting well to his new home.  He is already my baby boy and is underfoot at all times...usually carrying around his stuffed rat.  (that is his favorite toy so far)  As expected the first night home was rough he was up ALL NIGHT. but he now knows that when it's lights out he can come and cuddle Mama but he needs to sleep - not play.  As I am sure you know he is such a smart puppy not only will he come when called but he knows how to sit the first time he is asked, AND NOW, when I ask him to fetch he will bring his toy back to me, drop it when I ask him to (otherwise he wants to play tug of war) and then he sits and waits for me to throw it again!  He has just been such a joy in the few days since he has been home.  He keeps me laughing constantly.  Usually because he is trying to carry a Frisbee that is way too big for him or trying to swim in his water dish!  Potty training is going well.  No accidents so far (keeping my fingers crossed) but I keep a pretty close eye on him.  He went to the vet yesterday for a check and the staff couldn't believe how attached and attentive he was to me already and we was so well behaved.  His check up went well and the vet was happy with him.  (he assumed I was going to be showing him because of how beautiful he is!!)  So far since his check up in Nevada on Friday he has gained two pounds!  Overall he is a healthy and happy puppy who is a blessing to our family.    Thank you again and I will send pics as he grows.        Jen & Ross Allen

Debbie, How have you been?!  I am exited to talk to you!  Many events have happened or happening in our lives.  Novia just turned 1 year old and weighs about 130 lbs and is about 26-27 inches tall, and is still growing.  She is quiet protective of us.  However, she is such a softy!  I have attached some photos of her.  In the multiple dog pictures, she is the one that have a ting of brown on her coat.  Thank you so much for letting me get her, I LOVE her so much! Another event I would like to announce is that I am graduating from college with a Bachelors degree in Animal reproduction, health care, and other things.  He probably could get the same degree with how much I have tried to teach him!  Seriously though, I am excited to graduate.
The last major event is our Mare is due to foal on April 11th. She will probably have the foal near that day give or take a couple of days.  I quiet enjoy new life, it is so fresh and moldable. Novia truly likes the horses and like to greet them through the fence nose to nose. I hope thing are going well for you.  Frequently, I look on you website for updates.  Speaking of your website, what program did you use to create it? Hope to hear from you soon.  I get so excite emailing you, you are a great lady! Warm regards, Brandee Likes

Hi Debbie, I have 2 newfie's now that I love very much and sometimes I like to visit newfie websites and admire the pictures of the dogs but the dogs you have are really outstanding and beautiful.  I was just curious and I wanted to ask you how much you charge for a puppy.  We have 8 acres of property and I have 2 males now and you never know.  I would want another male for a family pet.  By the way, Your Galahad, Quasimodo, and Delmar are exceptional.  Thank you very much, Kara
