F Dear Debbie, First, my apologies as I feel I have been a bit amiss regarding getting photos of Okeeffe sent out. This a super busy time of year for me & I started the season a little behind. I've been inundated with portraits, but, I really appreciate all the work & am blessed to be able to work from home.
Now regarding my sweet baby Okeeffe....she is soooooo wonderful!! I can honestly say she is one of the most beautiful Newfs I have ever had the pleasure of sharing my life with...her facial expressions is just priceless & so very sweet....perfect Newfie expression! Also, her personality is topnotch as she is incredibly affectionate & will sit snuggling up next to you forever. She adores people & is loving towards everyone. She also loves to romp & play & she has excellent movement & is just beautiful to watch. I'm very happy with her & she is constantly exceeding my expectations. She is a joy to have in our lives & thank you very much for her.
After the holidays I will be able to have more time to work on my personal photography and artwork projects and I do promise you’ll be seeing a lot of my work featuring Okeeffe. I am very much looking forward to it!! I hope this email finds you and your family doing well and enjoying this wonderful holiday season. Thanks bunches for the delightful photos of Moab.... looking forward to a sister for Okeeffe out of Moab & Darjeeling's litter....I know it will be a fabulous mating as they are both just exquisite. I'm sure you will end up having a waiting list a mile long for their puppies (you mentioned that you will probably be keeping a puppy from that litter & that I'll have second pick...I'm thrilled to have gotten my name in early on the list!!) Big Hugs from Okeeffe. Merry Christmas from our family to yours
Blessings,Elle

Hi Debbie, Long time since I sent any pictures of my lovable guy!! He is doing FABULOUS!! He is still the sweetest guy on the planet. His coat is the softest ever. You can see, he loves to take up the couch & pretend he is a lap puppy!! I love him more now than the day I picked him up from the airport. He had just gotten a bath & a blow dry in these pictures & I was too worn out to do the trimming until the next day!! I see yu have a new litter!! They are cutie pies!! I wish I could have about 10 or 12 more!! Still would be interested in a female that would be compativle with my beautiful boy. I wouldn't let him go with Bumper. Not that she's not a beautiful girl, but she's a little older now & didn't ever want to stress her out. She just turned 7 last month. Okay, must be getting back to work!! Nancy Brodie

Hi Debbie, I just wanted to let you know that Gretbasin's Dark Side Of The Moon aka "TITAN" is doing very well. He is adjusting nicely & loves his buddy, "Fame". He's been very good in his crate so far at night to. I have him in an x-large crate so he has tons of room to move around. I generally don't like to have dogs crated for very long periods of time so he goes in it late at night & comes out first thing in the morning. He's staying in the house sp he learns potty training, etc. He's a great boy! I'm attaching some pictures of him learning to "show". He's going to be a fabulous show boy! Talk to you soon, JoEllen

Hi Debbie, I just wanted to send some current pictures of Bruschi. He is doing great! We went for a hike in Lamoille & got some great pictures of him. He loves to go hiking & swimming in the water. We always get stopped many times on the trail because people want to pet Bruschi & talk about him. He truly is an amazing dog. You guys breed the best. Thanks again for allowing such a great dog to be part of our family. Happy 4th of July & Best Regards, Diana P.S. The new puppies look great & are beautiful!!!!

Hi Debbie, Well it's almost been a year since we purchased "Big" so I thought I would send some pictures to show you just how handsome he has become & let you know how much joy he has brought to my life. Attached are some pics for you to see just how handsome he has become. For comparison I added two pics that were taken on the way home, the day we picked him up. I think you'll have to agree I'm just not being bias. One week after bringing "Big" home we nick named him "Dog Stein" due to the fact that 7 days later he had learned to sit, wave & speak. Both Mark & I were just amazed by the level of intelligence he had. He has continued to show his intelligence as he now whispers (speaks real quiet), & goes around to the left & right as many times as my finger tells him to, high fives, sneezes, rolls over along with the basic commands of lay down & go outside. I'm just starting to put him in a harness & drag 2 liter soda bottles filled with water, as I plan to cart him if he enjoys it. He seems to, as when he sees me get the harness he gets all excited & goes to the front door ready to work. I'll keep you posted on the progress although it will be another year before I actually have him start pulling. I must tell you he truly makes my day! Every morning when I get into my truck to leave for work he stands between the truck & open door with his front legs on the floorboard (that way he is at my height) & lays his head on my shoulder to say good by. It lasts for about a minute then he slowly slithers down, backs up & gives me that Newfie Mope. It breaks my heart to leave him but the best part is .........when I get home. I open my truck door & their he is, feet on the floorboard....... but this time I'm showered with Newfie Kisses!! I'm planning on purchasing another Newf next year.......... because as you know one isn't enough. I'm watching your site for your planned breedings in hopes of purchasing another pup from you. Wishing you happiness this holiday season & once again thank you for the "Big" love in my life.... he is the best!! Sincerely, Beth

Dear Debbie, So beautiful are these animals. The very best of the dogs that there are on earth. I feel heart felt for you & yours over losing one of your finest (Pandie). She is a beautiful dog, & will show off in heaven. Being almost 11 is a true miracle. I so know how hard you love these very precious dogs. Remo & Rosie will be 10 this Feb. I think about that & absolutely get almost sick knowing I have a short time left with them. Bless you & all of your family, people & dogs for ever! Joanie

Hi Debbie, Just thought I'd let you know that Barney's first barney was a big hit. Both of my children were here on a rainy Christmas Day & Barney was a perfectly behaved puppy on such an exciting day. Both he & Sadie had gifts under the tree. There's a dog park not far from our home & I've been taking the puppies over about 4 times per week. Barney's stamina has increased quite a bit over the last 4-5 weeks. He makes lots of friends, both canine & human, during these outings. There's a number of kids there & they all like to give him a big hug. He gives kisses (or slurps as Nancy & I call them) & tries to shake hands with everyone. Got to tell you a funny story. Just a few days ago Nancy & I were in the kitchen (with Barney) & I mentioned that I didn't know if I was going to the dog park that day. We went outside on the patio & Barney went to the table & got his leash & put it in my lap. Needless to say we went to the park that evening. Barney's jobs are to take care of his people & Sadie. He still has coffee with Nancy each morning & he is reluctant to leave our bedroom on mornings when she doesn't go to work. He has been such a wonderful addition to our family. I'm enclosing a couple of recent pictures that I've taken of him. Hope your holidays are going well. Best wishes & talk again soon. Jay & Nancy

Hello, Bruschi & the rest of his family would like to wish you & your family a Happy New Year!!! I also wanted to pass along that Bruschi is doing great & that recently we have had many people tell us that Bruschi is hands down the most beautiful dog they have ever seen. I have to agree as I often find myself staring at him & smiling. He truly is an incredible animal. Thanks again for him. Diana

Dear Tom & Debbie, I wanted to send some pictures of Burley Dog & Miss Priss. They are lovely, but we think our guys win heads up for the Worlds Greatest Newfies... Miss Priss is as full of the ol'nick as we thought she would be, a perfect match for Burley Dog's laid back ways. Oreo loves them both, but she is 26 inches & 115 lbs. We call her our little Turbo Tanker, or Dozer & sometimes even Mimi( you know, me me). Burley is about 34 inches tall & weighs 185 lbs. Which is rare. We don't have any neat carting or obedience stories to share, but they have a full life at the park & hiking, always making new friends. They are well known in the Reno-Sparks area that's for sure. Anybody with a big pool is a friend of theirs. Burley Dog is very placid now, but he wasn't always, so we know how lucky we are to have him somewhat "grown up". He was our wild child, & today Mr. Mellow. They go every where with us, weather permitting. Both vehicles have the huge crates & Oreo rides shotgun as befits her senior position, the old girl knows her place. Thanks so much for all the help during the breaking in period. As we learned how to be good Newfie Parents. We Thank You, The Whole Perry Gang!!

Hi Debbie!! Gosh it's been a long time since I've emailed you. We just wanted you to know that our baby is doing great. It's hard to believe that he just turned one. He brings such joy to our household. I tell you the big guy is a comedian, because all we do is laugh at him. I have attached some pictures. My favorite one is of him leaning up against the wall by my son's bedroom door. He loves my son & if he goes to his room & closes the door, Kahuna will wait & wait for him to come out to lay. He's also a great assistant football coach with my husband. The football team just loves him. He still continues to love his bowl of ice cubes & now has our cat swatting them across the kitchen floor. I saw that you had some new litters a while back & I enjoyed looking at all of the pictures. I hope that you & your family are doing well. Talk with you soon. Camille Nesbitt

Debbie, I will start with sorry!!! It is ridiculous how long it has taken for us to send you pictures & just give you an update. We talk about it constantly & then of course life gets in the way & before you know it, a year has gone by. Please know I often don't look at my emails until they reach 1000, crazy I know, however I'm changing that. Part of my excuse is that I'm just not on the computer that often. Enough of my excuses!!! Mandi is amazing!!! We love her to pieces. She really is everything we dreamed of & more. She is amazing with the kids as well as all of our small critters. She has become very close with one of my parrots. We laugh at how much time is devoted to her. She goes to the Dog Park at least 4 times a week! I'm trying to get involved with the Southern Cal. Newf. Club & today we took Mandi to a drafting event & she pulled a cart for the first time, & did extremely well may I add. We sent a few pictures. We figured today was the day to finally write you & give you an update! We are so proud of her. I'm working with a great trainer I found through a fellow Newfie owner & that is going very well. We are doing Obedience through clicker training. I love that it's so positive & Mandi is responding great. We had a one time experience last year with what we thought was a reputable trainer & it was a huge disappointment. $140 for 90 minutes & basically didn't learn a thing & she never contacted us for a follow up, she was bad. I adore this trainer, he also trains for Therapy Work, so we are heavily considering her training to become a Therapy Dog. The gal who referred us to the trainer has her Newf, Bailey, who is Mandi's age, working as a Therapy Dog (local Schools, Hospitals & Retirement Homes) for a couple hours a week. It sounds very rewarding, Newfs just have a way of making people smile! I wanted to mention your website looks amazing! We were just in awe of Contessa, OH! My Goodness is she a Beauty. We love her look, that big Gorilla Head, Wow! We were chatting with someone today who is getting a Newf from France. I'll have to see if it's the same people. I hope Bertha is well, Do you have any current pictures of her? How much does she weigh? Mandi is about 138. Well I will let you go, again please accept my apology for being so bad! I promise to be better! Take care, I look forward to hearing from you! Michelle Patton

Hi Debbie & Tom, a quick note to update you on Sara. She will be 2 in a couple of weeks as I'm sure you know & she is the sweetest, gentlest Newfie anyone could ever ask for. She is a big girl, 160 lbs & 30 inches at the shoulder. She is quite slim even with the weight. Being around lots of other Newfie's, Sara's personality makes me so proud of her. Sara is so sweet & loves people. The ease of training her has been a blessing because of her size. She knows all her basic commands & we have enrolled her in Rally & Obedience, hopefully competing by the end of summer for her titles. She has already earned her CGC. Sara is also involved in the Water Rescue Works, being tested this summer & she starts Draft Work next week & she has started her Tracking Lessons. The care you give your puppies is marvelous. They are so accustomed to people, children, noise & everyday activities that they just fit in so nicely at their new homes. Sara is pretty much full grown now, she has a beautiful coat, & whenever anyone new sees her, they rave about how she looks & how gentle she is. We go to the Dog Park everyday for our 2 mile conditioning trip, (for her & especially me) & she plays so well with the other dogs, even the little ones. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to raise such a lovely Newfoundland. She is the joy of my Husband's & My life. Thank You & God Bless You. Linda

Hi Debbie, Bruschi is doing great. He just loves the snow & cold weather. We have about 2 feet of snow & he loves to burrow sown in it & push his way across the yard. Anyway the real reason I'm E=mailing you is I wanted to tell you a story about the big guy. As you know we foster Dogs for an agency out of Minden, Nevada. Last week we were fostering a very sweet deaf Australian Sheppard. Bruschi took it upon himself to be the ears for this Dog. He wouldn't let any of the other Dogs so much as even look funny at this sweet Dog & wouldn't leave him alone at all. If we separated the two they both would bark & whine. As we were loading the Dog up Sunday to transport it to Carson City, Bruschi watched us load him & made sure everything was good & kind of said good by. I think he knew everything was going to be ok & that he was headed to a great new home. I just thought I would pass this along. Bruschi has been a great babysitter for quite a few of our foster Dogs, but this I felt was really worth passing along. Have a great evening. Diana Henris

Hi Debbie here are a few pictures of my two littlest babies. My little Human baby & my little fur baby!! & yes, I use the term little very loosely!! He is the sweetest boy in the world!! She's pretty sweet too!! I can't thank you enough for giving us the opportunity to have him. He is the best. Nancy, Casey & Rogan
November 2, 2007 Hi Debbie, I wanted to update you on Kodiak. He is
doing wonderful. He is an absolute giant. He is well on his way to being a two
hundred pounder & he has no fat on him. His puppy fur is all but gone & his
adult fur couldn't be more beautiful. Always shinny, just the right amount of
curl & soft as could be. He continues to be the biggest star at the Dog Park &
just recently he began fetching. He never showed any interest in it at all, &
all of a sudden he loves it. I couldn't be happier. He shares my bed with me but
at his size I wouldn't call it sharing. I recently took him to visit my Mom &
Dad in Washington. They have 120 acres & a few ponds. I never had to worry about
where he was, I just had to walk down to the pond. There he was, swimming
happier than any creature on the planes. One more credential he now possesses
is, he not only taught a Boston Terrier to swim, she is now almost as crazy
about the water as he is. We love him & could not be more pleased with not only
his looks (he is gorgeous) but his whole entire being. Forever Thankful!! Casey

Hi Debbie, They are breathtaking!!! They all are so unbelievable beautiful! Their heads & their eyes just grab you! Your Daughter is adorable as well, we love to see her holding the pups. So what are they weighing in at this week? You guys do so great a job at showing their size, one picture will look like they are small pups, then you see them with your Daughter & you realize how much size they have to them. As always, many thanks. Your pics are so worth waiting to see each week, it has become a highlight of our weekends!!!!!!! Thanks, Michelle Patton

Tom & Debbie, Thanks very much for the Christmas Card this past Season. It is nice to know that you maintain that much interest in your Dogs after they leave your home. My Daughter Jenna mailed out a letter & some pictures of Zeus to you. He is by far the best Dog I have ever had the pleasure to live with. He has so much personality & such a gentle demeanor. He loves the water & the snow. I will include a couple of digital photos from the last ice fishing trip we took in March of this year. He just had his annual Vet. check a month or so ago & is in great shape. He weighs in at about 140 lbs. right now. Just enough so I notice when he jumps on my bed at night.... I hope all is going well with you & your family. Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to enjoy such a wonderful companion. I was divorced shortly after I got Zeus & it has been pretty much just me & him for the last three years. He has been a lot of company & comfort in that time. Thanks again folks & keep up the great work. Feel free to email me back at this address anytime. Matt Borden

Debbie & Tom, Just wanted to let you know that Payton is doing wonderful! She has such a great personality, she's sweet, has a good disposition & is just a big love puppy. She's eating well, sleeping well & very smart. We should have named her shadow because she follows everyone around like one!! Thank you so much, we love her, she's a wonderful addition to our home. Kim

Hi Debbie, what a fine litter of puppies! It just makes us want another. We are such a Newfie family. The boys are doing great. Tug has a full coat of hair & has adjusted to our family really well. He is our "speedster" & just loves to run. Kenai is the biggest of all three & can catch tug when he is on a dead run. Kuma also likes to run but only in short distances. When they are all running full bore straight at you, it's kind of scary. We are known around town as the "Newfie People". I can't thank you enough for bringing these wonderful Dogs into our family. By the way, Tug has never even attempted to jump out of the yard! I think he is very happy. I will send you some current pictures. George & Family

anuary 18, 2006Hi Debbie, it seems like forever that I have sent you an update on Miss Gracie. As you know, she turned 2 in December & is as wonderful as ever. She gets to go to work with me twice a week & has a favorite breed that she seeks out whenever she is there. She seems to favor Yellow Labs. I don't know why, but she does. Her last haircut was in August, so I'm enjoying snuggling her in all of her wooly glory. I'm attaching a current photo of her so you can see how adorable she is. Thank You Erin Felton

I will take some pictures & send them to you guys. Take care Sara & Marshall

We just loved your website. Please let us know when your next litter is available. We have owned 2 Newfoundlands. An almost all black (except for a crest on her chest & one white toe!), named Zoe- who lived to be 11.5 years old. Then a Landseer named Alexis who lived to be 9.5 years old. Now, after 5 years of being deprived of Newfie companionship, we have decided to seek another furry child for our household. Many Thanks, Jim & Pat Watson

une 15, 2005Your website is beautiful, & let me tell you I'm not at all prejudice because my Daddy made it! I told Jason today that our kids have to grow up with Dogs, I'll break the news later that the only Dog I'll ever trust is a big old Quasimodo Puppy! I love you guys so much & miss you, all of you including all the Newf family. I'm dying without any kind of animal contact! I get my fix by coming to the website more than normal, I'm sure! Well I'll let you guys go, hugs & kisses! Love you all so much! Your oh so perfect beautiful soon to be fat pregnant Daughter! Nani

Hi, Thank you so much for your Christmas Card. Just to let you know our Lola is doing great. She has been with a trainer off & on since she came to Texas. She is really, really good with our Daughter Leah. Lola sleeps on a large Off floor mat that is placed beside Leah's bed. She is a great companion to Leah. Lola is also very, very smart. I will send you some pictures of her & Leah taken at Christmas. P.S. one amazing thing Lola did recently. While she was on coffee break away from Leah. She was upstairs laying by me while I was working on my computer. She was sound asleep & suddenly jumped up, placed herself between me & the door way coming into the room where we were. She squared her body, & started making a low growl. Scared the heck out of me! Anyway, A little face peeps around the corner, Lola saw who it was, wagged her tail, then laid back down & immediately went back to sleep. It was one of the little boys who is a son of one of Leah's nurses aides. He was looking for me to show me something he made as a surprise. So he was coming quietly up the stairs. Lola loves him & he her. Anyway, I had no idea she would do something like that. Sincerely Linda Swenson
